Dear Editor,
I must commend the Prime minister on his introduction of the radio program where citizens are able to give their complaints directly to the "Big Man" himself. The programme aims at facilitating complains dealing with national issues and not personal ones.
It is a usual thing for some Jamaicans to publicly humiliate themselves. Take for instance the woman who called the Prime Minister to complain that she has NINE children and is not able to support them financially and is seeking government help. Now tell me, was it until she had the ninth child she realized she would not be able to support them? Is it the government's responsibility to give aid to parents of several children upon the realization that they cannot care

Dear Editor,
I am very concerned about the way in which crime and violence is taking its toll on our country. Instead of things getting better, they continue to get worse. Last year this man-made monster swept the four corners of the island like an unexpected tsunami. Now when things should be looking up for us, 2008 seem to be an even bigger disaster. We are just into the third month of the year and have already recorded over 470 murders alone.
My heart is bleeding and at the same time I'm very confused. How did so many guns get here? With the prevalence of guns and ammunitions in our country, it is almost impossible to curtail crime and violence. There are more emerging 'border lines' within our communities and a number of reputed dons. They say behind every strong man there is a strong woman but who is the strong man behind these dons?

Proper care and supervision of children may prevent them from being involved in crime and voilence, especially our boys.
Many times, boys are left unprotected or unsupervised for many hours, and this can allow them to be influenced by friends or peers that are not up to any good.

Government are clamouring for Condoms in schools to help stem (Sexually Transmitted Infections) STI's and HIV cases in adolescents.
However, from the church's point of view there are moral issues involved.
Religion states that sex before marriage is a sin, so the issuing of condoms to young people will surely break the moral backbone of the country.

With at least twenty policemen killed by the gun since the start of 2007, the question maybe asked who will protect members of the Security Forces?, more specifically, the Jamaica Constabulary Foce (JCF), the local organisation for 'red seam' Police Officers.

Gone are the days when Homosexuals and lesbians used to keep their lifestyle behind closed doors-in their motorcars or at special hide aways, and so called 'Gay clubs.'
The gay community are now flaunting their lifestyle and sexual preference at public functions, and in public places, which have caused some of them to come under attack by mobs.
There were beatings in St James, Trelawny and a group of men dressed in feminine outfit in Kingston narrowly escaped a beating when a angry mob closed in on them. Officers from the Kingston Central Police rescued them.
