Interceding for our children

It is with great sorrow that I sat and watched the news last night. It brought tears to my eyes, the two items on the 11 year olds. The first item spoke of an eleven year old girl who went missing, her family was in so much pain. MIGHTY GOD. One family member in so much agony pleaded, "if unu even rape har, bring har back please"

The second item spoke of the 11 yr.old boy who was first reported missing then his severed body parts were found in a bag close to his home. One news report said there were two bags there, one with the severe parts of a dog and the other had the boy's severed body in it. Again the family in so much pain and the mother obviously still in denial a defense mechanism understandably.

Carone Gordon: A Cause

The residential program of Beulah Kidz is close to completion, as we have been working on the renovation of the property which will house some 24 children who have been abused. The above website give further details and the history of Beulah Kidz formerly known as Troubled Teens

Our office will be opened on Monday September 1st, 2008. We are currently in need of office furniture, as well as cribs and beds, games and or books for the library area, any such thing as can help to make this a comfortable haven for these children. We know times are challenging for everyone but if at all you are in a position to make a difference we implore you to do so.

Thanks for your kind consideration and continued prayers.

Beloved now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know when he shall appear we shall be like Him, for we shall see him as He is.

The coming of the Lord is near, prepare to meet Him.

The origin of Christmas traditons

Christmas Tree

There are various Christmas traditions celebrated right around the world, here are a few that you may or may not have known.

SANTA CLAUS
Can you believe that ‘Santa’ has been around since the 4th century? Originally known as Saint Nicholas, the patron of children and sailors, the bishop was immortalized because of his generous and loving nature towards children. He was said to have brought joy to the poor by throwing gifts through their windows. The Dutch called him Sint Nikolass, which eventually evolved into Sinter Klaas. It wasn’t until the Dutch began entering America that the colonials of New York began calling him Santa Claus.

The origins of Easter

Do you sometimes wonder about how Easter originated, and where and when it started, well you are not alone, many persons over the years have question this.
However, their are different variations to the origins of Easter, but this theory may be a plactical one.

Easter is referred to as the Sunday of the Resurrection, Pascha, or Resurrection Day, is the most important religious feast of the Christian liturgical year, observed at some point between late March and late April each year (early April to early May in Eastern Christianity). It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, which his followers believe occurred on the third day after his death by crucifixion some time in the period AD 27 to 33.

Heal Grief – Connect with Spirit

by: Amirah Hall

As the loss of a loved one can be one of the greatest challenges in life and connecting to with spirit can be a life changing experience. Whether you lose a loved one, a relationship or a job, most people feel some degree of grief when such an event occurs. Mediumship provides just one of the tools to help come to terms with the loss in a positive manner.

"As a Medium, I deliver more than messages” Amirah says, “I help to confirm that once our physical body dies, our 'spirit' lives on, and that we as spirits remain connected to relatives, friends and loved ones.."

Finding Daily Inspiration in Difficult Times

by: Mashubi Rochell

Daily inspiration helps us to stay focused on God's love, no matter what else is going on in our daily lives. Out of Bad, Good

God turned into good what you meant for evil. Genesis 50:20

Recently I read of something that happened during the Tsunami relief efforts. There was woman in a town in Thailand, whose baby died in the storm. Afterwards, she came to know the Lord, and she asked one of the workers that since now she was a Christian, did he think God would help her find her baby so she could say goodbye?

Christ's Death: Was It Good Enough?

christ.jpg

by: Rob Marshall

I was feeling very heavy and burdened, or as some people put it, I was depressed. The weight of my sin was hanging on me and I felt that I had to do something about it. My wife suggested that I meet with our pastor, so I called him and set up an appointment.

The pastor and I sat at the table as I began to outline to him why I was certain that God was punishing me. I had committed some sins and felt that God had allowed our son to die because I had been such a sinner. I had scripture references all lined up and I fully expected him to agree with me that, yes, I was a rotten, horrible sinner and God was angry with me.

But instead of agreeing with me, he looked across the table and asked, "What, wasn't Christ's death good enough for you?"

Mathew The Tax Collector

Mathew's Name means "gift of Yahweh". Mathew a disciple of Jesus was the author of the first New Testament Book.

When Mathew left his occupation of gathering taxes, he hosted a banquet for the Lord and invited a number of other tax collectors (Lk 5:27-32).

The large number of Old Testament quotations used in the book seems to indicate that Mathew's writting was directed primarily towards a Jewish Audience. The book puts great stress on Old Testament passages which show that Jesus was the Messiah (Christ), long awaited King of Israel.

Matthew, of all the Gospel writers, seems most aware of the need to place Jesus in Jewish tradition. He is the only writer who includes the genealogy of Joseph in his story.
