Mr Vegas seh: ʽTek weh yuh selfʼ

Jamaican Singjay Mr Vegas has lit up the Dancehall with another energetic song: ʽTek weh yuh selfʼ on a booming rhythm that have dancers both young and mature pumping profusely on the dance floor.

The dance involves a performer countering another dancer and practically, asking him/her to leave his/her section of the stage, or a complete exit of one's self.

But as you: 'Tek weh yuh self', the dancer comes back in front of his/her foe and declared that this dancer should also 'tek weh dem self', and a dance off is ignited.

Elephant Man teams with P. Diddy and Nicole for hot new single

Superstar deejay Elephant Man’s stocks are certainly rising on the international scene. The energetic dancehall artiste has teamed with internationally acclaimed hip-hop giant P. Diddy and singer Nicole of the group Pussy Cat Doll for the single titled ‘Come Give Me’ on the Bad Boy label.

The Q45-managed artiste says the song is doing very well with regular rotation on local as well as overseas radio stations. Already there are plans in place for a music video for ‘Come Give Me’. They are doing treatment for the video that is expected very soon.

Dutty Wine with Caution.

Eighteen year old Tanisha Henry collapsed while dutty wining at a party in Beacon Hill, Thompson Pen, St.Catherine October 29, 2006.

It was reported that Tanisha and some friends attended a school uniform party held in the Parish. At about 4:00am while doing the dance the incident occurred and Miss Henry was reported dead at the Spanish Town Hospital.
The incident left Tanisha’s mother Linda Henry in shock. As the doctor told her that her daughter was dead due to the dance, her worst fear was realized and remains in shock as she says she does not know how the family will deal with the matter.
