REGGAE MUSIC FINDS NEW GROUNDS THROUGH THE VOICE OF U.S. BASED, REGGAE ARTIST.

Unlike the trend of past decades, where international reggae artists turn to dancehall instead of roots reggae because of its upbeat sound and easy adoption to America, a new voice has been surfacing among the U.S Caribbean community. Jermaine Fagan is an artist who has been educated through the American school system but has been able to identify with the poor because of his humble life. He has taken the route of legends like Bob Marley but with an intellectual flair.

Jermaine is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor in MIS. Born in St. Thomas, Jamaica, he migrated to the United States in 1999 to pursue a career in Information Technology. In contrast, while attending the University he began to take his musical career, which began as a hobby in Jamaica, much more seriously. Recording tracks daily after classes and performing at local shows on the weekend became his prime interest. After graduating from Temple in 2004, Jermaine started putting his album More 2 Life together. The album was released in 2006, creating a line of hits like More 2 Life, Life and Cease the Talk.

A special media reception for the singer of "Love is", Longing for", and 'True Reflection", at the Hilton Kingston Hotel, showed Jah Cure with a permanent smile across his face, and seemed mature and collective in his thoughts.

Jah Cure can easily be a multi-millionaire over night, as his experiences being incarcerated for nearly a decade can be a best selling novel, or a 'Yardie style", motion picture.
