Child Support or No Vote!!

Dear Editor,

I must commend the Prime minister on his introduction of the radio program where citizens are able to give their complaints directly to the "Big Man" himself. The programme aims at facilitating complains dealing with national issues and not personal ones.

It is a usual thing for some Jamaicans to publicly humiliate themselves. Take for instance the woman who called the Prime Minister to complain that she has NINE children and is not able to support them financially and is seeking government help. Now tell me, was it until she had the ninth child she realized she would not be able to support them? Is it the government's responsibility to give aid to parents of several children upon the realization that they cannot care

Persons are to call and air their views about social and economic matters, issues about the country and its development. What she should have said was that she is in need of a job so she can be able to support her nine children and not call to embarrass herself to the prime minister. Is it that the children's last names are Golding and they have the same blood type as he does? Some of the people in this country need to take a reality check.

All I'm trying to say is that people need to think thoroughly before they embarrass themselves to the media because it drags the rest of us with them when them don't speak with any form of intelligence. It's a modern world where everything matters. You need to take a reality check and think more clearly.
