What to do when confronting a criminal

Kingston, Jamaica:
Your first response to a robber may be a life or death situation, as you may get caught up with different types of criminals all want something from you.
There are the petty robbers that snatch a bag or cellular phone and run, and there is those criminals that are mobile either a bike or a car and pull over an unsuspected victim.

There are also the very young criminals the teengaers that are trigger happy and is bursting to shoot without warning. To safegaurd one's self don't panic in Jamaican term don't get too j'umpy'. Don't get too carried away and try to challenge the gunmen with a piece of stick he might get angry and shoot.
If there's an indication that this/these criminal(s) want to kill you try when least expected make a run for it, it must be decisive and some distance from the criminals as they will hunt you down like dogs and kill you. Whatever you do try to remain calm.
