Omaha Mall re-open amidst bloody memory

Omaha, Nebraska:
When the Omaha Mall re-opened on Saturday, December 8, 2007, shoppers and mourners still have a vivid recollection of the events three days ealier where a teenager ruthlessly turned his gun onvictims killing eight of them.
19-year-old Robert Hawkins fired a Ak-47 Rifle indiscriminantly on persons in a store on the Westroads Mall before taking his own life, in a horrific murder/suicide saga.
A suicide note left behind by the young killer did nothing to heal the pain from grieving relatives.

A statement from the operators of the Shopping Complex GENERAL GROWTH PROPERTIES read: "Today’s (DECEMBER 5, 2007)tragedy in Omaha, Nebraska, has been a horrific event for the entire community. Our number one priority has been to ensure the safety and well-being of the shoppers and employees of the mall. We are extremely grateful to all the law enforcement agencies for the leadership they have provided. Our deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to all the families of the victims."
As a mark of respect for the victims, the Westroads Mall wehre the incident occured was ordered closed on Thursday, December 6, 2007, and re-opened Saturday, for shoppers who are stocking up for the Christmas and mourners paying respect for the victims.

The Red Cross also came on board offering counselling to those who need it.
America in recent times have been plaqued by mass shootings, in schools and other paces were people gather. Young men just snapping and killing people before taking their lives. Earlier this year, a young man killed 32 people and took his own life in a US university.
