Bruce sworn-in as Jamaica?s eight prime Minister

Orette Bruce Golding the leader of the JLP was yesterday, Tuesday, September 11, 2007, sworn-in as the eight Prime Minister of Jamaica at an official ceremony on the lawns of Kings House.

Governor General Kenneth Hall, gave Prime Minister Golding the instrument of office.

PM Golding succeeded PNP President Portia Simpson Miller, who held the post for 17 months.

The Bruce Golding led JLP won 33 to PNP?s 27 seats, in the country?s general elections held on Monday, September 3, 2007.

Golding, may only have yesterday for the occasion to sink in as there is a lot to do to lead the country forward.

One major thing to do is to form his cabinet.
