The West Indies led by half centuries by Devon Smith and Marlon Samuels defeated England for the first time on tour this year, by 15 runs in a NatWest International 20/20 Cricket match at the Brit Oval in England on Thursday, June 28.
The West Indies batted first and posted a challenging 208-8 off 20 overs, and England in reply came close but they ran out of balls, making 193-7 off 20 overs.

Devon Smith made 61 runs from 34 balls, and shared in a match winning second wicket partnership of 84 runs, with Shivnarine Chanderpaul who contributed 41 runs, while Marlon Samuels scored an enterprising 51 runs that came off just 24 balls. England seamers were thrashed all parts of the park.
Dimitri Mascarenhas (2-37) and James Anderson (2-39) took most wickets for the English men.
England's batting was led by new captain Paul Collingwood who made a top score of 80 off 41 balls, while Dwayne Smith (3-24)and Darren Sammy (2-32), shared five wickets for the Windies.
This is a real morale boosting victory for the Caribbean men who will take part in the ICC World Twenty/20 Cricket tournament later this year.
