South Africa crushed England by nine wickets to take the fourth and final semi-final spot in a Super 8 ICC Cricket World Cup match in Barbados on Tuesday April 17, 2007.
The win saw England's hopes of a semi-final berth dashed and their final game against the Windies only a contest of academics.
South Africa ends the Super 8s on eight points.
South Africa routed the Europeans for just 154 runs in 48 overs, as medium pacer Andrew Hall, in a sensational spell of reverse swing bowling claimed 5-18 off 10 overs to dispose of the tail, as Andrew Strauss (46) and Paul Collingwood (30) made most runs for England.

South Africa charged the opposing bowlers hitting 157-1 off just 19.2 overs. Proteas Skipper Graeme Smith top scored with an unbeaten 89 off just 56 balls in an authoritarian display of clean hitting.
Jacque Kallis ( 17) accompanied Smith to the end.
Earlier, AB De Villiers slashed 42 off 35 balls leaving the England bowlers in disarray.
The semi-finals are set for next week in Jamaica and St Lucia, while the final is in Barbados on Saturday, April 28.
