
U.S. Actor becomes 4th Black male to win best actor crown
Unites States actor Forest Whitaker became only the fourth black male to win the coveted best actor award at the Oskars in America.
Whitaker, 45, won the Academy Award for best actor for his role in British film `The Last King of Scotland`'

Other black actors to cop the award include the trendsetter and pioneer Sidney Poitier, who won in 1963 with the film Lilies of the Field; he was the 1st man of colour to win that award; after him in 2001 Denzel Washington won with the movie Training Day then in 2004 Jamie Foxx took the prestiguous crownfor his lead role in Ray.
The film `The Last King of Scotland`' depicted the brutal dictatorship rule of Idi Amin where over 300,000 people were turtured or murdered in the African country of Uganda.
With Black History Month coming to a close this gives all people of colour a sense of pride.
