
Patrons at the Foundation Music Showcase held at the Golf Accademey on Saturday Night 6 January 2007 were left broken when half of the major acts did not turn up.
American Soul singer Pebo Bryson was expected to be the highlight of the show.
The following are quotes from persons who were at the show:
Patron
"Them too wicked, feisty and tief," one seething woman said, "We nah support nothing fi do wid Foundation again. Fifteen bills and that's all?"
"If them did announce say Peabo wasn't coming we wouldn't feel so bad but them not even say nothing to we, just have we siddung so. That was very rude".
Police
"A true them people yah decent and not so young or else we would have whole heap a work fi do this morning,"
Performer who was there but didn't performe due to no payment:
"It better you map out a escape route fi when bottle start fling,"
Should the promoters:
1. Be Arrested
2. Required to give an appology
3. Give back the people dem money

Just to let you know that I heard that the producers of the show appologised.
I still believe that is still not enough.

They must be forced to pay a fine, that will certainly break the trust between patrons and promoters

While I agree that the patrons were dealt an injustice by not being informed of the non-arrival and non performance of some of the expected acts. It must also be taken into consideration that with our culture and history of voilent reactions to such news...it would have taken a very very brave individual to go on stage and deliver that bad news.
Indeed that person would get many "shandy" bottles and other debris raining on their heads (if they were lucky)..or nuff gunshots!!.

The promoters need to give a public appology on the matter. In addition there need to be some regulatory body that fine promoters who behave in this manner.
