What is a customer?
A customer can be a person, company, or other entity that buys or exchange goods and services produced by another person, company, or other entity. So, then it is safe to say that a customer/client is someone with a need to be satisfied.
A customer is the most important person ever in a company-in person or by mail.
A customer is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him.
The customer is not an interruption of our work he is the purpose of it
We are not doing a favor by serving him; he is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so.
A customer is not someone to argue or match wits with-nobody ever won an argument with a customer
A customer is a person who brings us his want-it is our job to handle them profitably to him and to ourselves.
The truth is that we all are customers and we all change roles by serving others. Who is your customer?
| Customer service has to do with the way in which the wishes and demands of the customer/client are catered for. A satisfied customer will often times do repeat business. Research has shown that 68% of customers will leave due to poor attitude and indifference. It has also been said that it takes 5 times more effort to get a new customer than it is to keep an existing one. Is customer service really that important? |

You never get a second chance to make a first impression
Nothing in customer service is better than SENDING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE to all with whom you come in contact. There is a saying that first impression lasts. Excellent customer service puts us in a win-win situation; it requires us to Go another mile.
Art linkletter puts it this way:
A CUSTOMER SERVICE MOTTO
“Do a little more than you’re paid to
Give a little more than you have to
Try a little harder than you Want to
Aim a little higher than you Think possible
And give a lot of thanks for Health, family and friends”
We All Have Our Problems
Every morning in the jungles of Africa a gazelle wakes up and realizes that
if it is to survive the day it must outrun the fastest cheetah.
Every morning in the jungles of Africa a cheetah wakes up and knows that if
it is to eat today it must outrun the slowest gazelle.
So it doesn't matter whether you are a cheetah or a gazelle. When the sun
comes up you had better be ready to run!
How will you run? You can view your problems as obstacles or opportunities.
Your customer is not a part of your problem, they are the reason you do what you do.
“Service with a smile”, I tend to agree.
