The Jamaican Society has fallen to an all time spiritual low and the question should be asked whose fault is it.
Yes it’s true that Jamaica has the most churches per mile in the world, however the empty benches and the underutilization of church buildings raises numerous question that needs to be answered.
I have always held the view that the presence of so many churches per mile is not an indication of the spiritual richness of our country but more a reflection of how divided we are as a people. Just as political tribalism has divided the Jamaican people, the Church has also played its part in dividing Christians. As a result the country has developed a generation of lost persons who are seeking for truth and leadership.
So whose fault is it?
The first blaim must be placed on church leaders who are intent on building their own little kingdom on earth, instead of trying to build the kingdom of God. We at JAMCL would like to say to these leaders its time to let go and let God. The church does not belong to you.
So whose fault is it?
The second blame must be placed on ungodly leaders that have led our county and our communities?
The bible is true to its word when it says; if the head is dirty the entire body will also be dirty. The evolution and the exaltation of the so called Dons in our communities have undermined the moral fabric of our society and by extension our country. These Dons have promoted a spirit of laziness among our young people and have made them parasites on the working class.
We have to however thank God for our new Prime Minister, Mrs Portia Simson Miller since she is someone that young people can look up to both for spiritual and personal guidance. We pray for her that God may give her the strength to fulfill her purpose as the leader of this beautiful island of Jamaica.
So whose fault is it?
The media will not escape without blame since it’s obsession with the exaltation of things which are negative has assisted in poisoning the minds of this generation. Negative and Gangster base music seem to be the order of the day.
There are so many causes that have contributed to the moral and spiritual decay of our society. The Church, Political Leaders and the Media are all to be blamed.
We pray to the father above that he may intervene and bring Jamaica out of Moral Bankruptcy. We are glad to see the advancements in our economy and the fact the financial indicators are pointing in our favor. However all parties must ensure that these advancements are made on a moral and spiritual base.
