Called To The Kingdom has been doing a prayer walk campaign since the start of December 2006. A small group of persons from the organization has traveled the fourteen parishes in three days since Wednesday, December 13, prayer-walking a mile in each parish.

The prayer-walk will climax on January 1, 2006 with the church leaders walking to Jamaica House to offer prayers for our nation’s leaders, and to rededicate Jamaica back to God. The Prime Minister, The Right Honourable Portia Simpson Miller and the leader of the Opposition Bruce Golding have been specially invited to the walk, among many other dignitaries. There will also be a telethon to raise funds from organizations and individuals locally and internationally, to help equip the Jamaica Constabulary Force with tools that will aid in the crime fighting initiative for 2007. Cable & Wireless Jamaica has approved twenty telephone lines for the purpose. The telethon will run simultaneously with the watch night service and prayer walk.

Called To The Kingdom has been traveling to the various parishes since June of 2005, holding week long fasting and prayer meetings against crime and violence. The first staging of this national fasting was held June 5 – 11, 2005, in Half Way Tree Square, and witnessed tremendous success.
