West Indies Is No Longer the Worst Indies

The 27-year old Jamaican, Christopher Henry Gayle motivated his team to pull off a six-wicket win over their opponent South Africa at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansing stadium; landing them in the finals of the Icc Champions Trophy cricket tournament. They will now face world champions Australia in the finals in Mumbai November 5.

With his breathtaking display of aggressive batting he knocked of 133 runs (which included 17 fours and 3 sixes) off just 135 balls. Gayle bat brilliant strokes to all corners of the field either for a six or a four. Even though The West Indies lost four wickets in a heap including that of Brian Lara, standing tall, they were magnificently victorious in the end. In concluding, Gayle is left unbeaten with a 133 runs off 135 balls.

This win should definitely give West Indies a firmer mind set in going up against Australia. I bet the Australians are now planning how to get out Chris Gayle early. Well lets see if they are motivated enough to end up victorious on November 5th 2006.
