Buju Banton’s latest hit ‘Driver’ is creating waves on the local entertainment scene in recent times.

Buju otherwise called Gargamel is truly a lyrical Banton has he showed many a DJ how to ride a rhythm and the Sly and Robbie’s old ‘Taxi’ rhythm offered him the opportunity to pelt out lyrics that has created quite a stir, everywhere you go the tune is blasting, in the Uptown and Downtown area and taxi and bus drivers seemed to take a liking for the song. “A big tune, mi nah stop play dis song,” One bus Driver said.

Buju Banton first hit the charts in the 1990’s with a string of hits such as ‘Bogle’, ‘Love me browning’ and ‘Black woman’ and is one of the most controversial DJ’s of his time spitting out tunes like ‘Boom Bye Bye’ and ‘Deportee’ (things change).
Buju has also done cross overs in his over 15 years career in the music industry. The Internationally acclaimed artiste early beginnings saw him ‘voicing’ tunes on a sound system for Jack Scorpio in the Inner-cities of Kingston.
