Whitney Houston First Public Appearance Since Rehab

whitneywow.jpg

Houston, 43, was escorted to a benefit for juvenile diabetes research in Beverly Hills, Calif., by her longtime record producer, Clive Davis, People magazine reported Monday on its website.

"I feel great," Houston was quoted as saying, while Davis, one of Saturday evening's honorees, told People: "We're going to make a killer album."

A blond Houston, wearing a black gown and diamond earrings, sat at the main table for the 17th Carousel of Hope Ball with Halle Berry and Berry's boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, People said.

"American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee sang Houston's "I Have Nothing" at the event.

"It's her first big appearance since the breakup," McPhee, 22, was quoted as saying on the arrivals carpet. "I would love to sing with her, but unfortunately all eyes are on me."

Let's pray for Whitney that she stays clean so she can testify about her ordeal.

A little drizzle did not stop the party at Mellow Vibes

man%26women.jpg

Mellow vibes was the place to be on October 28th 2006. Patrons danced up a storm as the dj’s delivered 70’s, 80’s and 90’s tunes to the crowd. With ladies free before 11 pm, females flocked the place which indeed carried the men to the party. One would think that females would try their best to come before 11 0’clock but this was not the case. Even after this time females could be seen hanging out at the venue as well as in the lines to buy the tickets to enter Mas Camp.

[Rihanna:]
Story Of My Life
Searching For The Right
But It Keeps Avoiding Me
Sorrow In My Soul
Cause It Seems That Wrong

Lyrics to Beyonce’s Irresistible

1106beyonce.jpg

To the left
To the left
To the left
To the left
To the left
To the left
Everything you own in the box to the left
In the closet that's my stuff - Yes
If I bought it nigga please don't touch
And keep talking that mess, that's fine

But could you walk and talk at the same time
And It's my mine name that is on that Jag
So remove your bags let me call you a cab

Standing in the front yard telling me
How I'm such a fool - Talking about
How I'll never ever find a man like you
You got me twisted

You make a woman go mad
So be wise and keep on

Could your website be 'Employee of the Month'?

Could your website be 'Employee of the Month'?

Wayne Marsh, Guest Writer

Good employees are a company's best asset; they help the business profit through their diligence, commitment, and expertise.

Most business owners realise the correlation between winning employees and a successful business, and spend a great deal of time, effort, and money to recruit and retain the best to staff their company.

But, what about their website? Many business owners don't recognise the similarities between high-performance employees and high-performance websites.

If you compare the two, you'll see how similar they really are, and from there, you can take steps to help your business' website become your 'employee of the month'.

All about Buju Banton

bujubiopic1.jpg Each generation has a voice that convincingly conveys past tribulations, contemporary triumphs and future aspirations; throughout the 1990's, the voice of Jamaica has been Mark Anthony Myrie, better known to Reggae fans as Buju Banton. Buju has dominated Jamaican music with a rough gravel yet keenly melodic deejay (the Jamaican equivalent of a rapper) delivery, transcending the parameters of dancehall Reggae and serving as a globally embraced artistic paradigm for the 21st century. The wide ranging musical styles and sophisticated lyrical concerns Buju embraces throughout Unchained Spirit (his debut release for Epitaph subsidiary Anti Inc.) will certainly resonate with fans regardless of racial, cultural and socio economic backgrounds.

Paris Hilton stars are blind lyrics

I don't mind spending some time
Just hanging here with you
Cuz I don't find too many guys
That treat me like you do
Those other guys all wanna take me for a ride
But when I walk their talk is suicide
Some people never get beyond their stupid pride
But you can see the real me inside
And I'm satisfied, oh no, ohh

Even though the gods are crazy
Even though the stars are blind
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine

Tips for climbing Dunn's River Waterfalls

Planning on visiting the Dunn’s River waterfalls. Here are a few tips and hints that will help make your visit enjoyable.

drfalls.jpg

Set aside a whole day for Dunn’s River Fall. Climbing the falls can drain you physically.

If you are with a group get a guide. The guide can help you climb up the falls and take some great pictures.

Bring water shoes. Aqua socks work the best they had great traction. You can rent them on location. Water shoes are especially important if you are with a group, as you will be holding hands. This means while you are climbing you are holding hands with one or two people. This makes it difficult to use your hands.

Top Resume Writing Tips
1) Myth: Resumes should be only one, or at the most, two pages.

In most cases, this is true. It is the rare reviewer of resumes who, when being completely honest, will tell you that he or she spends more than a few seconds in the first review of a resume. Unless your resume captures immediate attention through an eye-appealing design and succinct, compelling language, your resume will be screened out after just 15 seconds. With this reality in mind, imagine the thoughts of the reviewer when he or she receives a four- or five-page resume, with another 100 resumes waiting for review right behind it. Clearly, the odds of your resume capturing attention and being read increase when the length is limited to one or two pages.

Disappointed with new James Bond in Casino Royal

casino_royal10_300.jpg

I had the chance of watching Casino Royal at its premier in Jamaica and was totally disappointed and would like a refund.

The attempt to change the character of James Bond as we know it was a shot in the arm. Here is a list of things I love about the past James Bond:

1. He never has a problem getting the ladies
2. The love scenes are captivating
3. James Bond never falls in love in such a way that it distorts his judgment
4. Gadgets on his car and on his person are way before his time
5. Smooth verbal communication

Things I hate about the current bond "Daniel Craig":

Mind your manners - Using your napkin

Layout1_1_PD2WNTrefoil2AM.jpg

Tradition holds that at the beginning of a meal, diners should wait until the host puts the napkin on his/her lap then others follow. Nowadays, this applies on formal occasions, when you take your cue from the host. But, be it cloth or paper, your napkin goes on to your lap as soon as you are seated. On formal occasion the waiter usually assists.

The significant word is 'lap'.
Do not tuck a napkin into your collar, between the buttons of your shirt or blouse or in your belt. Don't snap it open with a showing jerk of the wrist.
Use a napkin frequently to blot or pat, do not wipe you lips.
It is a good idea, ladies, to blot lips especially if you are wearing lipstick, before taking a drink to avoid lipstick stains on the rims of the glass.

Toll case goes to Privy Council

A group of Portmore residents, mainly councillors of the Jamaica Labour Party, were yesterday granted leave to take their case against the toll road to the United Kingdom-based Privy Council. The residents had taken the Government to court after the administration went ahead and converted the old causeway road, linking the capital city of Kingston to the municipality of Portmore, into a six-lane tolled expressway. Currently, motorists pay $60 for motor cars, $100 for SUVs and $200 for buses and trucks.

They contended that the causeway was the shortest route to their homes, and took the Government to court to prevent Portmore residents from paying a toll to use that leg of Highway 2000.
