Woman Fi Get Discipline

There is a syndrome called Battered Woman Syndrome. According to the Canadian Medical Association Journal, battered wife syndrome is when a woman is physically and psychologically abused by her husband or boyfriend.

Some women remain with the men out of fear, others they have no where else to go or while feel obligated to the man and the children. They do not realize that in the end they would more than likely end up destroying and hurting the children and in some cases. Children who are around abuse or who have been abused, end up becoming abusive as adults.

High heels Can Affect Your Health

So the craze is out for high heels because they make your legs look more beautiful and you probably think high heels are the height of elegance. You should however know that high heels can affect your health severely. You should also know that women have four times as many foot problems as men. Wearing high heels is your choice but you should at least be aware of the problems related to these fashion elements.
Physical problems associated with high heels include foot pain, foot deformities, a change in back posture, knee osteoarthritis and separate and apart from that, women who wear high heeled stiletto shoes may be reducing their chances of getting pregnant. Heels, particularly if they are over five inches high force the wearer to adopt an unnatural posture which can prevent them from conceiving.

I will risk it again!

*Cash Plus Investors not scared to risk their money
money.jpg

There are still risky gamblers out there that will put up their money for high returns on their investments for alternate financial schemes.
The recent crumbling of Cash Plus Limited and its owners, have not deterred some investors, who have pledged that they will still risk their monies in Investment schemes in the future.
“I will risk it again, one woman that invested $100,000 in cash Plus for three years.
She was getting $10,000.00 (ten thousand dollars) per month on that amount, and was getting a further $30,000.00 (thirty thousand dollars) per month on $300,000 she invested later.
Mi will tek de risk again, because dem a geh we high interests and the banks dem not doing that,” she said.
Another man who invested millions in Cash Plus to build a mansion also said the risk is worth it because of the returns on his investment.
According to JAMCL checks there are just over two dozen alternate financial schemes in Jamaica.

Child Support or No Vote!!

Dear Editor,

I must commend the Prime minister on his introduction of the radio program where citizens are able to give their complaints directly to the "Big Man" himself. The programme aims at facilitating complains dealing with national issues and not personal ones.

It is a usual thing for some Jamaicans to publicly humiliate themselves. Take for instance the woman who called the Prime Minister to complain that she has NINE children and is not able to support them financially and is seeking government help. Now tell me, was it until she had the ninth child she realized she would not be able to support them? Is it the government's responsibility to give aid to parents of several children upon the realization that they cannot care

Who's to be blamed?

Dear Editor,

I am very concerned about the way in which crime and violence is taking its toll on our country. Instead of things getting better, they continue to get worse. Last year this man-made monster swept the four corners of the island like an unexpected tsunami. Now when things should be looking up for us, 2008 seem to be an even bigger disaster. We are just into the third month of the year and have already recorded over 470 murders alone.

My heart is bleeding and at the same time I'm very confused. How did so many guns get here? With the prevalence of guns and ammunitions in our country, it is almost impossible to curtail crime and violence. There are more emerging 'border lines' within our communities and a number of reputed dons. They say behind every strong man there is a strong woman but who is the strong man behind these dons?
